Oregon Wool & Fiber Mill is a woman‑owned, small‑batch wool, alpaca and other animal fiber processing mill located in Sherwood, Oregon. The fiber mill is located just outside Portland on the grounds of Alpacas of Oregon, serving customers throughout the Pacific Northwest and across the United States.

Founded by Suzanne Campbell and Jane Ratcliff, the mill brings their shared vision for high‑quality, custom fiber processing to life.
Suzanne brings over twenty years of expertise in breeding and raising alpacas, while Jane has an equal amount of experience in working with wool. Their paths crossed at the local hand spinning guild, where they began discussing the shortage of fiber mills in Oregon and the challenges shepherds face in managing their wool—often resorting to storing it in barns, sending it to landfills, or burning it. This conversation sparked a shared goal: to acquire the necessary equipment to process the annual alpaca yield from Suzanne’s herd, along with the wool Jane had collected from various shepherds.
Despite coming from different fiber backgrounds, Suzanne and Jane have combined their curiosity and hands‑on experimentation to build a rich shared knowledge of both wool and alpaca. They now understand how to use them individually or blend them to create stunning roving, batts or core spun that will enchant hand spinners, felters, fiber artists and weavers alike.
As news of a new Portland area fiber mill spread, they began receiving fiber from various sources for processing. The volume of requests and the size of orders have increased, prompting Suzanne and Jane to acquire larger equipment to handle high quality fiber processing more efficiently. Additionally, they have received inquiries for yarn and are pleased to refer customers to their talented handspinners.
